Gatherings
The Gatherings is Jane’s signature series. These three-dimensional paintings, with their sculpture-like figures dancing and suspended in open space, are the embodiment of 3 decades of work. Jane’s brush strokes literally and figuratively jump off the canvas. From a distance, the Gatherings convey coherent images or ideas. Close up, the individuals come to life with light, color and movement. While each work captures a different moment, they all share a feeling of joy. For Jane, “Life is a series of Gatherings, everything that matters in life, happens when we Gather.”
